2019 - 2020 CAMP SCHEDULE

BlueClaws Baseball Academy

 DECEMBER 27 -28 2019 @ FirstEnergy Park 

 

BlueClaws Baseball Academy will again hold Holiday Clinics for players ages 8-13. This year's clinics, Hitting & Pitching, will take place December 27th - 28th at FirstEnergy Park.  This 2-day Hitting Clinic runs from 9:30am - 11:30 am each day while the 2-day Pitching Clinic runs from 12 pm - 2:00 pm.

   


 

 DECEMBER - FEBRUARY 2019/20   @ FirstEnergy Park 

 

BBA Claws High School/Middle School Winter Workouts are for players 13-18 years old. This 10-week program is designed to get players ready for the spring season. One practice per week will be hitting and pitchers and catchers, and one practice will be speed and agility. For a full program run down, and more information please contact jagnello@blueclaws.com

 JANUARY - FEBRUARY @ FirstEnergy Park 

 

BlueClaws Baseball Academy is once again hosting their annual winter clinics for youth players ages 8 - 12. 

HITTING CAMP   DATES TBA: Designed to teach players the essential techniques and philosophies of hitting. Each week, players will work on pre-pitch, stride, balance, grip, bat path, and hitting zones, among other aspects of hitting.  5 Week Program

 

CATCHING CAMP  DATES TBA: Designed to teach players the importance of being a receiver. Each week will cover a different topic in the order of responsibilities for a catcher. Catchers will learn receiving, blocking, throwing, tag plays, and bunts. 5 Week Program

 

PITCHING CAMP  DATES TBA: Designed to teach players the proper throwing mechanics to keep them healthy. Pitchers will learn about mechanics, arm speed, release point, long tossing, and how to naturally produce velocity. Players will be given drills that they can use at home throughout the winter months to be ready to pitch when the season stars.  5 Week Program

 

 

SPEED & AGILITY CAMP  DATES TBA: Designed to teach players body control, body balance, and the three major attributes of any athlete - change of speed, change of direction, and change of footwork.  Bring your team in to get ready for the Spring.

 SUMMER 2020 @ FirstEnergy Park 

 

This camp is designed to teach players ages 9-13* how to build their individual skills as a pitcher or catcher.

 

Pitchers will learn proper throwing mechanics to keep them healthy during the season, along with information on proper grips for fastball and off-speed pitches. This is a drill intensive camp that will give players a multitude of new ways to practice at home.

 

Catchers will learn in order of responsibilities of being a catcher (receiving, blocking, throwing, tag plays, bunts and pop-ups) while learning the most specialized position on the field. Catchers camp has by far been our most popular camp.

 

Each camper will receive advanced instruction from the BBA coaching staff, use of the Lakewood BlueClaws facilities at FirstEnergy Park, and a FREE 1-on-1 Lesson

*Any Camper Under the Age of 9 Can Attend if They Have Attended a BBA Camp in the Past

DEFENSIVE CAMP -  Designed to teach players Infield and Outfield play.  All four infield positions, as well as outfield, will go through a drill intensive defensive workout

 

Each camper will receive advanced instruction from the BBA coaching staff, use of the Lakewood BlueClaws facilities at FirstEnergy Park, and a FREE 1-on-1 Lesson
